This paper discusses the ongoing legal dispute between Riot Games and Moonton regarding allegations of copyright infringement related to the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Riot Games has accused Moonton of plagiarizing various elements from its popular titles, League of Legends and Wild Rift, including character designs, gameplay mechanics, and marketing strategies. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court on May 9, 2022, highlights the intentional mimicry by Moonton, which has previously faced legal challenges from Tencent, Riot's parent company. Despite Moonton's denial of the plagiarism claims, the case underscores the persistent tensions within the gaming industry over intellectual property rights.
